Experience

I have half a year experience teaching a private student who just took her A Levels recently. I taught her H1 Mathematics, and her results are not released yet. I believe in building on a strong foundation, and only then can the student be able to absorb and learn more effectively.

The short six months has taught me many things, and those lessons can hopefully put me in good stead for the future students. I believe that foundations are very important, and it will my the first step that I establish with the students. Without solid fundamentals, they will find it very hard to learn more advanced knowledge, and hence encounter much difficulty. Thus, I will spend some time to improve the basic knowledge of the students first. After that first step, I will seek to cover the more advanced knowledge, and point out the connections and help the students with the integration of all the content that they learn. This is a crucial skill so that the students have a complete picture of what they are learning, and it can help in their understanding.
