I am a Senior Teacher in Geography and also teaching English and Social Studies in Fu Chun Secondary School (top value-added school in North Zone Cluster N7), my role is equivalent to a Subject Head.
I have been a full-time school teacher for more than 10 years, including home tuition for many Secondary school students.
I have been able to help my school students achieve value added results above expectations during their O and N level examinations. I have also helped tutor students who improved from a B4 to an A1 for O Levels Pure Geography and from a C5 to an A2 for O levels English. I believe that the key to academic success is in knowing how to answer questions.
I will focus primarily on getting students to understand the requirements of each exam question. As for English, I always believe in using simple real-life examples to teach. My methods are easy to understand and highly effective as can be seen from the improvements shown by my school students in their writing.
I graduated from NUS with a BA (Merit) and NIE Postgrad Dip in Education majoring in teaching English, Geography and Social Studies.
