I am a fresh graduate - I have just completed 2 years of the IB Diploma Programme. I don't have any teaching experience but know the content of my Higher Level subjects very well. I am keen on teaching IB students because I can draw upon my own experiences. It is important for me to understand the student's capabilities and calibre to make the most of his or her potential. I have received 42 points (total) in IB and grade 7 in all my Higher Level subjects (Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology). I received 7, 6, 6 in my Standard Level subjects (Economics, English and Hindi respectively) and a bonus of 2 points (Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge).
SAT 1 score: 2320 (Writing/Math/Critical Reading: 760/760/800)
SAT II score: 2370 (Mathematics Level 2/Chemistry/Molecular Biology: 800/800/770)

Experience

Personally, I work on the motto of 'studying hard and studying smart'. I believe that I am able to teach students not just content and material that will aid them in acing examinations with immediacy, but also learning techniques and practices that are applicable to all other aspects. I regard discipline tantamount to the success in anything we undertake, and I hope to convey that to the students I teach.
I am a patient tutor who makes his lessons as interesting and relevant as possible, while adhering to the school syllabus. Lesson plans are always crafted to fit the students' abilities and interests, in order to capture and retain their attention. I can work well with children and teenagers alike.
Besides the standard 'O' and 'A' levels, I am also able to teach other curriculums of the English Language, such as the SATs, TOEFL, creative writing or simply English for conversational purposes.
Ultimately, I want to help students succeed, as that not only gives them a sense of achievement, but gives me such a sentiment as well.
