Experience

I was a relief teacher at CHIJ Kellock from January 2009 to May 2009. While I was teaching there, I had the experience of instructing classes of primary school children in the subjects of English, Mathematics, Science and Chinese. Having gone through the education system myself, I am a firm believer in teaching through application of the knowledge learnt through examples of questions. Hence, my teaching method would be to emphasize on important points in the chapter of each subject and delve straight into practicing actual exam questions in order to strengthen the understanding of the theoretical knowledge. I also believe in studying smart not just studying hard. Thus, my teaching would also include how to emphasize on certain information while just glancing through the rest so as to use time at the highest efficiency in order to get the best results in return.

Commitment

I am able to start immediately and am available for any time of the week from 9am-10pm. However, I am also currently applying for a permanent job so when I have a permanent job confirmed, I will not be able to commit full-time. Also, I am going away to Malaysia from the 22nd to 23rd of January 2014.
