Experience

I am a Polish national, living in Singapore for 11 years. I have taught English of all levels in private institutions in Singapore. I also have youth counselling qualifications.
I particularly enjoy working with teenagers and I love the multicultural and multiracial environment.
I relate well to people of all ages, especially youngsters.
I have taught privately as well, especially foreign students and O Level students, which is my strongest area. I have a relaxed, friendly approach to an individual student but at the same time I make sure there is no time wasted during my classes and I am able to cover a lot of material. I believe that revising in a key to better grades and improvement so I include a lot of revisions of what I have taught, especially regarding vocabulary. I do assign homework based on student's current needs.
I treat all my students individually and using my counselling skills, I adjust my methods to every single one of them, so as to faciliate the learning process. I am constantly developing new ways.

Commitment

I am able to start at a notice of two, three days and I am not planning any trips, at least until the end of June.
I am available in the mornings Mon - Sat or evenings Mon-Fri, 5.30 onwards.

I have been giving private tuition for 2 years and I have been enjoying it. Being a recent grad from VJC, I am well-aware of the MOE syllabus as well as the problems and common mistakes that students make. Just last year, I have helped a P6 student, who has always failed English, Mathematics and Science during his school exams, achieve a decent B for these 3 subjects during the PSLE within a short 3 months. I have always believed in simplifying concepts to allow students to grasp key concepts better, but at the same time not compromising on the depth of the topic that needs to be covered. I am currently giving tuition to a Sec 3 student (Pure Chem and Pure Bio).
I will be either going to SMU ro SUTD, major in engineering and business.
