Experience

Having been a tutor of over 4 years experience who specilises in teaching Chinese and Maths related subjects for upper secondary level, I have become experienced in helping students produce outstanding results.
Besides, as an NTU year 2 engineering student and a previous MOE PRC scholarship holder graduated from Temasek JC, I am very familiar with the current syllabus required to prepare my students well in exams. My students are now able to manage the key concepts well in study as well as possessing the right techniques to do smart in exams.
My students find me a caring and patient tutor, who has been always showing encouragement to help them build their confidence along learning journeys. My unique teaching method of a combination of innovative and result-orientation has attracted their attention onto study, enabled them to continuously improve in learning process and finally produce excellent results in exams.
One of my secondary students of non-Chinese-race had shown great interest in Chinese learning and his comprehension and composition skills had improved hugely. Besides, more than 7 of my upper secondary students had shown great improvement from D to A in their final year Chinese exams. 9 of my secondary students who previously failed in A- or E-Maths exams had been able to attain B or even A grades in a short time and maintain their good grades.

Experience

I am a graduate from the National University of Singapore, with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. I completed my High School (A Level equivalent) and Secondary School (O Level equivalent) in India. I secured top grades in all my subjects in high school and secondary school.
At school, being a class topper, I was often given the responsibility of mentoring and helping my group mates through their difficulties and clarifying their doubts. Many of the students I worked with in this manner not only showed improved grades in their exams, but their interest in the subject increased noticeably.
Last year, I tutored a student for SAT Maths II and Physics II exams in a two-month crash course. Other ongoing assignments are Sec3 student in Maths/Phy/Chem, O level students for E-Maths, A-Maths, N-level Chem/Phy, JC 1 H2 Maths and JC2 H2 Physics as well as an IB 2 Maths student.
I also teach Personality Enhancement workshops for youth (8-25 years of age) which help develop focus, clarity and confidence among other essential life skills for youngsters.
In short, I enjoy tutoring very much and look forward to the challenge of working with students of diverse backgrounds and aptitudes.

Commitment

I am available for a short-term commitment until the end of the current academic year (October/November). As I do not have other commitments presently, I can take intensive classes with longer duration or higher frequency with a view to exam preparations for students.
