Experienced in successfully working with junior college and IB students in achieving academic success. Able to utilise creative skills to help students go understand concepts, learn impressive explanation and motive them to write out answers to correct mistakes. I have had 5 over years of experience as a Montessori Teacher in Malaysia (with certification from Modern Montessori International), as well as 8 years of Corporate Experience in Leadership & Training (in Singapore).
Whilst I focus on content of curriculum in my lesson plan, I also incorporate a high level of interaction, questioning, critical thinking, reasoning, public speaking guidance and personal leadership skills.
In my view, I am spending the hour or hour and a half with the student, not just as a tutor but also a guide in ensuring he/she can express the content they are learning and understand how to use it past just 'doing homework' or 'passing a test'.
Rest assured, a child's confidence level rises as I work with them.
