Experience

I have one year experience of teaching a primary 2 boy. After giving tuition to him, his Math grade has improved and he is consistently scoring an A in his papers.
I am a cheerful person and I believe that making teaching fun would motivate the students to learn better and develop an interest in the subject. As such, my teaching style would be to go through concepts before diving into the questions or assignments proper.

Commitment

I can start asap and will be free every Thursday (morning to evening) and on weekends (mornings to late afternoons). During the middle of December, I will be going on a trip and will only be available in January 2015.

Experience

I have taught two students for two years, a year each subsequently.
I taught English Language and Creative Writing for both students. One student was in N-Levels and the other was in Secondary 2 - the streaming year. For the N-Level student, I had also taught and helped in his Arts N-Levels as well. The Secondary 2 student has improved from borderline passes to grade 3 and improved further to a grade 2. The N-Level student whose English results has a shifting grade of pass and a grade 3 has improved to a grade 2. His Art has achieved a grade 2 from a grade 4.
I have also been an assistant teacher to my art teacher when in secondary school.
I am most confident in teaching Creative Writing and English Language - ranging from pre-school to upper secondary and would be able to teach above that (though I have yet to venture into higher English). I have spent around 2 - 3 years in the U.S back and forth in my secondary school years.
I am also able to help in Arts - aka. Drawing, techniques and styles.
As for other subjects like maths and science, I would be comfortable in teaching up to the primary school standard. Other primary school subjects except for Chinese Language could be considered as well.
Right now, I am tutoring a Secondary 1 student in his English Language and Creative Writing.

Commitment

I am able to start teaching anytime and commitment will be ongoing until notified. As I am still schooling, my weekdays morning are off but the mid afternoon and night slots are open. For the weekends only the morning and early afternoon is open.

Experience

I have coached a JC 1 girl in H2 Economics, H2 Literature and H2 History and she has shown improvement in her mid-year and SA exams. I specialise in arts and humanities subjects. Humanities subjects tend to be harder to score than Math and Science subjects as they require a broad and contextualised understanding of the subject that needs to be cultivated over time, and thus my approach to teaching would follow as such. I believe that learning can and should be effective, engaging and enjoyable to produce results.
