I have three years of experience doing long term relief teaching in a school in the West area of Singapore. I am familiar with the current MOE syllabus for Maths, English and Malay as I have taught these subjects before on top of Physical Education, which I also teach. I have taught students ranging from Primary One level all the way to Primary Six and would have no problems in interacting with them and identifying their various learning methods. I use the Experience-Reflect-Apply approach in my classes as I believe that it is able to maximize the student's learning potential and at the same time encourage them to become an active learner. Motivation is also a key factor that influences a child's learning and students learn better if they are given the hands-on approach, which I have observed in my PE lessons. With that in mind, I strive to use this method of teaching in my classroom lessons whenever and wherever possible.
