<p>Since tutoring full-time in 2005, I've gained a lot of experience in teaching students from various levels. Some students are diligent and motivated themselves while some may lack motivation or guidance. But my job and responsibility is to do my very best to teach each and of them and to make sure that they improve as best as they can. Every student, no matter how slow or fast needs to be given an equal chance at their studies. And all my students make improvement in their studies. For slower ones, they may not have made such a drastic improvement, but nonetheless, they still improved and became more disciplined and confident about their own abilities. The following will briefly explain how I usually teach:<br> <br> Throughout my years of teaching, I have also gained a lot of experience in writing essays together with my students. For example, I will usually write out the main parts or the entire essay as an example for my students. Over the years, I've written on a very wide range of subjects and topics. I enjoy writing and have also written some short stories on our local website “Writing the City”. Besides essay writing, I also teach my students comprehension skills, useful new words/phrases/phrasal verbs/idioms of course correct grammar and tense.<br> <br> Maths is very interesting for the student and myself alike-especially model drawings and explaining maths concepts; I enjoy teaching Math a lot as it teaches one to think in a creative yet logical way! I usually use model drawings to solve problem sums and not algebra as algebra is slightly too abstract to be understood at the Pr level. Whenever possible, I’ll also explain the reasoning behind concepts.<br> <br> For Science, I teach my students the reason why things work the way they do around us; hopefully bringing to life concepts in their textbooks. At times, I bring simple materials to demonstrate and explain.<br> <br> <br> Testimonials:<br> <br> -A Secondary 2 girl from Bowen Sec qualified for Triple Science Stream after I taught her English, Maths and Science. Both her parents and her were very happy!<br> <br> -I have also taught a P6 girl from Admiralty Pr in Maths and Science this year and she achieved 'A's for both subjects.<br> <br> -A Sec 4 girl from Commonwealth Sec whom I taught since she was in Sec 1 and her English has improved greatly from failing till getting As.</p>
