<p>I have very vast teaching experiences consisting of 17.5 years of teaching experiences in the Singapore JC system and 5.5 years of teaching experiences in the United States (from 1996 to 2001 when I was on no-pay leave).<br> I have always taught Biology at the college level both before going to the States and after returning from the States and am very familiar with the A level Biology syllabus for both H2 and H1 Biology.<br> I am an extremely experienced teacher and have been a level coordinator for many years mentoring many young teachers in my college. I am a very competent lecturer and have employed a variety of techniques (via videos, demonstrations, students' participation and pop quiz) to sustain students' interests and ensure that they understand what is taught. During the tutorial sessions, I ensure that students' learn how to arrive at the answers rather than just providing answers and would reinforce concepts constantly.<br> Over the years, my students have graduated with mainly A grade in Biology and many of them have gone on to become doctors, dentists, scientists, pharmacists, healthcare professionals, teachers, lawyers, accountants, architects, etc. <br> I have an enormous amount of resources such as effective revision notes and practice questions which are designed to help students improve in their analytical skills, question answering skills and data analysis skills. Because I have taught the A level Biology syllabus for 17.5 years, I am very clear about the emphasis for each topic and the requirements by UCLES in performing well for the exams. I interact well with students and is able to quickly identify their learning needs in order to help them improve their grades.<br> I have received numerous awards such as the Outstanding Contribution Award and Innovation Award.<br> </p>
