Experience

In my commercial work career, i have 17years of experience in Accounting, Media, Research, Marketing, Advertising and Training industries. I have the opportunity to communicate, liaise and train different levels of educated people during these years.
In my teaching arena, I have 2 years of experience teaching primary school students during my A-levels days. I have 8 years of teaching experience to Secondary school kids at Sunday schools in a Catholic church and am currently teaching my Pri 5 niece in preparation of her PSLE next year.
As for my teaching techniques, i would make use of school textbooks, assessments, various school papers, online teaching guides and cognitive thinking to nurture the students. I believe in using everyday real life situations as examples to explain education concepts where possible. This is to encourage and nurture the students that learning is part and parcel of everyday living where we should not shy away from it.

Commitment

I can start from 01Dec'2011 onwards. However, i would need to take a short break from 29Dec'2011 to 03Jan'2012 for a short trip.

Experience

In my first few sessions with my students, I ensure that I identify their weak areas in the subject. Then, for the next few months, I would address their weakness and ensure they have more confidence and have the ability to handle their weak areas on their own. After that, I would move on to answer the student's queries in other topics and finally, spent the last few sessions before the exam working on the student's strengths. For non-weak students, I would spent the last few sessions by making him/her do some timed practises to ensure he/she is ready for the exam and has seen a variety of questions. As for homework, I understand that Singaporean students thesedays have alot of school homework. So, as to not burden them too much and allow them to strike a fine balance between all subjects, I would only give my students short weekly exercises.

Commitment

I just finished my A levels and hence, am currently available and flexible with dates and timings. Under any circumstances, if I have to unexpectedly withdraw from my teaching duites, I would inform the student at least a month before so that they can find a replacement.

Experience

I have a 2 year experience tutoring primary school children at Yangzheng primary school because I was from Interact Club in my JC.
