Experience

I am waiting for my A level results and will enrol into uni in 2012.
I had taught lower primary students and I was selected for peer tutoring in both secondary and junior college level, in terms of math. I am also given many opportunities to tutor my friends during class discussion.
The satisfaction i get when the people i tutor understand the concepts better. This makes me realised that teaching is my passion and drive me to become a teacher. Hence, i hope that through this, I am able to gain more experience in terms of teaching.
Methods of teaching I adopt:
1) I would first listen and understand their way of thinking and understanding a concept. After which, I would correct if there is any errors. This, I think, is essential as students are able to grasp the concept better if they understand it in their own way.
2) I would do a concept plan for each topic that involve all the question types so to ensure that the students get the full concept of each topic
3) Extension questions will be asked to ensure that the students can apply and understand a concept thoroughly
4)Feedback will be done after each lesson to further improve my teaching to help the students better

Commitment

I can start from 1st December 2011 and all the way to September ( before i continue my degree course)
Anytime from 8am to 8pm weekday and 8am to 5pm on weekend
During this period, i would attend dancing classes but the timing is flexible. So i will try to accomodate my time to the schedule given for tutoring.
