Experience

I have been teaching piano since 2008 and have had 10 students to date. I have a rigorous training in music, including some years in Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, hence I strongly believe in ensuring that students get the basics of technique and performance right, while at the same time making lessons fun and challenging. My LTCL and DipABRSM in Piano will allow me to teach up to Grade 6 piano with ease. I can also teach lower grade theory.

I also have a Grade 8 (ABRSM) in viola hence I can teach basic violin and viola. I have been the section leader in my school ensemble for 2 years and have quite a bit of experience coaching violin/viola skills.

Music aside, I enjoy and excel in Biology and Economics. The key to doing well in both subjects is to understanding the foundational concepts, applying the correct keywords and essay structure then practicing as much as possible.
