Experience

The nature of my Counselling degree course has allowed me to gain a high level of interest in working with children. During the pursuit of my current degree, I managed to give private tuition to 2 students who were facing difficulty in coping with the English Language. From what I have learnt in my modules, I managed to talk to the child and coached her to understand the importance of learning and not just achieving a grade. Through the child's hardwork, she was able to achieve a B grade for English Language in her PSLE score this year.

Experience

I have 7 months experience in teaching Secondary 4 Math and English in Mendaki centre. I worked with a group of 4 students who were hardly interested in studying and clearing their exams. After much motivation and guidance, I could see that they were determined to do their best in their exams.
I am a very determined and positive person. I love teaching and interacting with others and thus, will give it my all while tutoring the children.
My teaching style will depend from person to person, based on whether they are audio or visual people.

Commitment

I can start immediately and as of now, can continue as long as possible.
Between May-Sept I may go for an overseas internship(TBC).
I can have classes after 8pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, and after 5pm on Wednesdays-Fridays and anytime over the weekends.

Experience

I am an active volunteer and mentor as well as a part time tutor for 3 years. My current and past assignments varies from Primary to Secondary level as well as Principles of Accounting and Projects. The volunteering assignment taught me to work with children with learning difficulties. I have developed teaching aids and customise the tutoring approach to engage them as well as enhance their learning experiences.
