Experience

I have two year experience teaching a class of 30 primary school students. Many of them experienced improvement in their grades.
I have also taught two students IB Biology HL.
I prefer to teach via anecdotes and examples to link what students have learnt to real-life situations, so as to obtain a more holistic understanding of a subject matter.

Experience

I am currently teaching Chinese and Mathematics in a tuition centre. I have eight students in a P3/4 Mathematics class, seven in a P2 Maths class. I taught three P6 students Chinese before they took the PSLE this year. I also had a one to one Maths session with a P6 before PSLE. I have been teaching in this tuition centre since the beginning of this year. Before that I gave home tuition, taught in a kindergarten and after school centre.

Experience

I am an ardent believer of Psychology and Education. I believe that through understanding your child's goal and willingness to learn and improve, your child will then be more than willing to work hard to achieve that with me. No doubt, it does take two hands to clap. Thus, improvements or results can only be seen through long term effort from both parties. Communication between the child and the tutor is essential. However, i am not only keen in their academic , as well as their well-being and mental state of mind.
Although , I am specialised in English Language , i am able to teach Mathematics as well. I believe that the foundation of English language have to be present before the kid is able to do well in other subjects like Mathematics.

Commitment

I will be starting in January 2015, however, I will be able to do a prep class in December if there is availability in my schedule or by request.
My tutoring ranges from primary to lower secondary on weekdays morning starting from 1030 am.
My tutoring rates are from $35 to $50 per hour.
