Experience

My niche lies in teaching/tutoring secondary school, although I have some experience teaching upper primary as well. My experience are as follows:
Secondary School:
- 2 years experience in tutoring lower secondary E Maths and English, and upper secondary Phy/Chem and English (both Normal and Express students)
- MOE internship in CHIJ Secondary (Toa Payoh), teaching Secondary 3 English and Secondary 1 English Literature (Express)
Primary School:
- 1 year experience in tutoring Primary Five Science
On the whole, my students have shown improvements in their subjects - with the fastest results being my normal stream students in E Maths. I have also received very good feedback from my teaching supervisors and the classes I had taught when I was interning at MOE.
My teaching method:
I always strive to simplify Mathematics and the Sciences. I believe in simplifying their concepts and rules to make it easier to digest, emphasising that what is essential is understanding and not, as some students have difficulty with, purely memory work. I also try to drill confidence into my students by allowing them to practice a lot with questions I have created, exercise books or past year papers I have sourced out.

Commitment

I can start as soon as possible and will able to do so until the middle of 2015. My schedule is very flexible. I will be taking a short trip in December and in May.
