Experience

Currently during my internship for my last year in Nanyang Polytechnic taking a Diploma in Engineering, I believe that students need to build up a good understanding on he fundamentals of math and science from an earlier age to prevent complications further on in their academic progression.
A year worth's experience teaching my secondary 3 sister Math and Sciences. Grades jumped from C5-6 to A2-1 for both subjects within the period.
I also tutored my relatives children from North Vista Sec School.

Experience

I have about 10 years of continuous experience giving home tuition. My specialised area is in mathematics and physics and I take students from Sec 1 to JC2. I can also teach other science subjects at GCE O level and A level such as biology etc as mentioned in my current application.
I taught students from ACJC and PJC, and an IP student from RVHS.
Throughout my 10 years of experience, I learnt that passion, patience, affirmation and encouragement are the quality of a good tutor, who can help students to improve tremendously, apart from the relevant grades that a tutor has obtained in his past examinations. I hope that I will be able to continue teaching and impacting students in future generations so that they will learn the subjects that I tutored for long term use.
As a PhD student myself now, I have also experience in tutoring university undergraduates in their modules, lab and final year project which is a major component in final year curriculum of mechanical engineering. Yes, My major is in Mechanical Engineering. Hence I would be able to tutor

- Engineering physics and math modules (polytechnics)
Besides engineering as major, I have taken a minor in Physics from the School of Physical, Mathematical Sciences in NTU, Singapore. My score for all the physics minor modules are A and A+ (highest grade conferred). Hence I would be happy to tutor any year 1 Physics Major in the modules:
