I have 12 years of tutoring experience and have tutored many students from top schools to neighbourhood schools. All of them were inspired and started to develop interest in the tutored subjects. They eventually obtained distinctions in the O-Level Exam.

I was given the recognition of this award by NIE in 2007 due to my outstanding performance in the teaching of Mathematics as a trainee teacher.

I was appointed and promoted to the position of Senior Teacher of Mathematics in 2012. A senior teacher is appointed due to its strong pedagogical approach in the teaching of the subject. As a senior teacher, I mentor beginning teachers and share good teaching practices with the rest of the teachers in school.
(5) Teaching philosophy:
My method of teaching is to simplify the concepts for the students to understand. I emphasize learning by understanding and not learning by memorising. I use the students’ pre-knowledge to build on their current new concepts so that the students will find it easy to accept and understand. I can link A Math and E Math topics well so that the students are able to see that learning A Math and E Math is not a chore but two easy subjects to learn.
(6) Trained in O-Level Cambridge marking:
I am trained in the Cambridge marking and able to share with the students how to score through their workings in order to gain the maximum marks in the ‘O’ Level Examination.
(7) Free Worksheets and Notes:
I provide self-prepared comprehensive notes and worksheets to my students during the course of tuition. Students commented that my worksheets are useful to them and they like the worksheets very much as it is very easy for them to use it for revision. As a current secondary school teacher who is passionate in teaching the subjects and helping the students, I am resourceful in getting the right materials for the students to help them learn well and improve.
