Experience

I had tutored my neighbour's children and my sister. I had tutored my sister and some polytechnic students in Maths and Science since secondary school. She had improved from C in both science and maths in her PSLE to having A2 and B3 in maths and science respectively in her O Levels. I continued tutoring through her polytechnic years and she obtained 19 distinctions in her polytechnic and had at least an A in maths or science. She had since graduated from Republic Polytechnic with a GPA of 3.9/4. She had improved from being a normal (academic) student into an A-star science scholar.

Commitment

Experience

I am currently also giving tuition to primary school students in a tuition centre. My mother has been a home tutor for decades and I have had the privilege of picking up tutoring skills from her through my own observations throughout the years, and am looking forward to be able to put these skills into good use. I am comfortable with younger students as I have interacted with my mother’s students. Moreover, as the the eldest daughter/granddaughter, I have had the experience of taking care of younger children. I look forward to be able to groom my future students and maximize each of their potential!
I am looking to teach Kindergarten and Primary School students in English and Mathematics. For English tuition, I would strive to not only allow the students to excel in their syllabus, but also cultivate an interest in the English Language – as it has always been my personal philosophy that it is important to be passionate in the Languages in order to master them. As for Mathematics, I hope that the students would not only learn how to answer the questions, but also, gain a real understanding of the topics, so as to build a solid foundation for their future learning.
