I have taught a secondary 1 student for general science for a year, and he has been consistantly achieving A, 80 and above, for his science results. He used to get abt 70 during primary school. I have also taught a secondary 4 student for mathematics and physics. Been able to improve the grades from fail to pass for both subjects in recent exam.

Experience

I am a scholar with a degree in Chemical and Biomolecular engineering from University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign. I completed my A levels from Hwa Chong Institution IP program and currently in the Alumni, very familiar with the IP syllabus.
Currently I am working as a research officer in a government institution, tutoring MJC, RJC students for Chem, Bio, Physics.
I have 4 years experience, and was previously a teaching assistant in university for chemical thermodynamics (class of 30 students), as well as a peer tutor for physics in JC. I offer quality notes from top institutions as part of the lesson package for students. It is noted that different students possess varying abilities, interests and powers of comprehension. As such, attempts would be made to structure lessons to suit students best. Based on carefully kept past records, most tutees show improvements of at least 1-2 grades for their year end examinations. I am confident that this record will be maintained and improved upon.
I am deeply heartened by the improvements which most of my students have shown in the past year - for instance, i took a male student from Queenstown secondary in Jun 08, when he was averaging D7 for physics and a maths. We worked hard and intensively, and he was rewarded with A1s for both subjects in his prelims. While other students might have shown less dramatic improvements, i am glad to report that all of them did progress by at least 1-2 grades for the subject i coached them in.
