Experience

I have taught primary 3 English, Chinese, Mathematics and Science for a year but stopped due to my A levels. I am currently teaching primary 1 English, Chinese and Mathematics. Primary 1 tutee has developed his own interest in studying and is more keen to learn after teaching him for 2 months.

Commitment

I can start as soon as possible. From now till the end of July, I will be available on Monday and Friday evening, Wednesday and Thursday morning/afternoon and also on weekends morning and early afternoon. I will not be available from 26 - 29 June 2012 as I am having my orientation camp in University.

Experience

I have been giving tuition for 2 years, specialising in English and Mathematics. My students generally range from primary 2 all the way to GEP students in their final years. However, I believe that i would be able to tackle the academic rigour of Secondary or JC students as well.

My students have seen stark improvements in their results. Currently i am tutoring a primary 2 student who was getting atrocious grades in Mathematics, often getting lesser than 20 marks. However, within 2 months of being under my wings, he is currently doing extremely well and is constantly in the top 10 of his class. He actually looks forward to tuition as i am able to connect with my students very well.

I have also taught a GEP student who only came to Singapore 4 years ago. As such, his command of the English language, especially in the field of oral presentation, is less than desirable. I am giving him ad-hoc tuition on oral presentations, helping him with pronunciation and intonation. On average, he gets around 14 marks for oral, however after just one lesson, he was pleased to inform me that he got 19 marks, one mark shot of a perfect score.

I believe that i am able to bring out the best in my students and help them to attain academic success. Coupled with my amiable personality, leaving your child under my arms would definitely be a step in the right direction.
