Experience

I had taught H1 Geography for a JC student and Chemistry for a Secondary 4 student. Both of their grades had improve from a D and C5 to B and B3 respectively.
My teaching method is constant practise of questions. I believe a student will not know what they are weak at until they start to do their work. Engaging their mind to think is the key to force them to have questions and eventually, learning.
Another of my teaching method is train them to be exam smart. Giving them time assignments constantly will allow them to get use of the exam environment. Through this, they will be able to finish their exam until the time given to have a better result.

Experience

Currently I am teaching Physics at RI Secondary section and also Olympiad Physics, thus touching on A level topics and beyond. I have been teaching at RI since 2013.
I was teaching Physics at Tampines JC from 2005-2010, and was on NPL in 2011-2012 to take care of my kids.
I am a responsible and dedicated tutor. I love teaching, and find great satisfaction in interacting with students. Being a JC Physics teacher, I understand the requirements and syllabus well. I present Physics concepts in a clear and concise manner so that students can internalise them, and apply them. I also believe in establishing a good rapport with students, to understand their strengths and weaknesses so that I can cater my teaching to meet their learning needs and abilities. Depending on the topic, I use a variety of teaching methods (e.g. Applets, video clips, etc.) to make a lasting impression of the concepts. Students have also benefitted from my being able to break down Physics concepts into simple ideas, and have found the subject to be not as daunting as it used to be for them.
I have also taught Sec students in home tuition from St Hilda's Sec, Ping Yi Sec and Tampines Sec Schools.
