Experience

I am a responsible tutor who aims to assist students in having a strong foundation in the subject. The focus will be to review and explain the concepts and ideas that the student fails to grasp in school as well as other problems that the students faced. To avoid overloading the students with too much work, little or no additional homework will be given.
I have one year experience teaching a Sec 4 student E Maths and A Maths. She displayed a greater confidence when solving problems after the tuition. She acheived a 'B' for both of the subject which was a great improvement from her borderline pass/fail before the tuition.
Also, I have 2 years experience teaching a Pri 6 student Maths. His grades improved from C to A in his PSLE. He also got a high score of 81 in his prelims. As a result, I continued to be his tutor when he is in Sec 1.
I have been consistently obtaining good grades for Mathematics in both Sec school and JC. I was among the top few for both the O Level prelims and A Level prelims. In additional, I had represented my schools in the Singapore Maths Olympiad for 4 times, obtained 3 bronzes and 1 silver.

Commitment

Experience

I have 6 years of part time tutoring experience and graduated from NUS in 2011.
I have taught various students with different capabilities and different attitudes. I have tutuored students from kindergarten, all the way up to junior college. Recently, I taught a lower secondary student who is dyslexic. she had been failing all her subjects. However, after tutoring her for several months, her grades improved to a B.
I conduct bi weekly tests to guage the understanding of my students and I also prefer to follow up with the parents to better understand their children's progress in their studies. I prefer to approach the attitude of the student first, understand what the students lacks in and help him/her in what they lack.
