I am a China university graduate with more than 15 years experience teaching Mandarin in local tuition centres such as Mini Kids and Hua Sheng Education Centre. I have also been teaching students in their homes, using fun and engaging teaching methods tailored to every child\'s needs. I teach about 12 students a year from pre-school to Secondary 4 level and they have seen significant improvements in their results. The most drastic changes have come from two recent primary 6 students who progressed from 51 marks in SA1 to A grade in PSLE and another who improved from 71 marks in SA1 to A* grade in PSLE. Another primary 5 student also improved by leaps and bounds over 3 months from 31 marks to 66 marks in her exams. Instead of focusing purely on results, I always inculcate a sense of appreciation of Chinese language in the students I teach so that the attitude of self-improvement and discovery can serve them well no matter where they are in life.
