Experience

I had 2-3 years of teaching experience. I have taught Upper Primary, Lower Secondary & Upper Secondary levels and the subjects are Mathematics, Pure Physics and Additional Mathematics as they are my strong subjects. I have even taught Mechanics and Thermodynamics for University Levels.
I always prepare my own tutorial assignments for my students apart from other school exam papers. I emphasize my students to follow my steps in resolving problem sums for them not to miss out anything even though there are other short methods of solving the problems. I use certain teaching strategies which will develop the students from making mistakes when solving a mathematical or science problems including understanding the question, identifying relevant and irrelevant information, choosing a plan to solve the problem, solving it, and then finally checking the answers. In addition to that, I also do a daily re-looping previously learned material such as bringing in previously leaned material to build on each day so that students have a base knowledge to start with and so that learned structures are constantly reinforced.
I also had a good track record where one of my student who was in 4NT have achieved a B-grade for his N-level maths result while he has been failing for his past 2 years.
