Experience

I have taught maths as a private tutor either in 1 to 1 or in small groups of 2-3 for 8 years.
I have taught in a local secondary school for about 2 years.
I have taken part in maths mentoring scheme when I was in JC. My students have generally shown at least an improvement of around 8-15 marks. I am usually very approachable and would be able to attend to students questions even though Im not there physically as they can reach me through my mobile, instant messengers and emails. I respond to their questions in the shortest time to ensure that they can cope with their work.
Last year, I managed to help a dyslexic student achieve A2 in GCE O Level. When I took over, she is only getting a C5.
Another Sec 3 student scored a E8 for maths for mid year and managed to score an A2 for End of Year Exams. Also I managed to coached a Pri 6 student who failed her prelims to get a B for PSLE.
Currently I am teaching E maths and A maths. The student that I am teaching finds my method and explanation easy to understand and comprehend.
I try my best to give tips to students during their exams and will try to give them extra notes to help them revise. I try to condense their thick mathematics book into something more manageable for study.
I will try to find ways to interact with the student to find out the way he/she will learn best and cater to her needs.
So far parents have found my teaching good and continued with me till they graduate.

Commitment

December 2014 I won't be in Singapore as I will be going overseas.
I am able to start anytime now till end of November and resume again once school reopens.
