I am an ex-MOE secondary school teaching, specialising in English Language and Social Studies. I used to teach phonics classes and adult workplace literacy classes. I am also a qualified TESOL trainer with a Diploma in TESOL from the London Teacher Training College.
Teaching is my passion, it is more than a profession to me. I believe that with determination and the right learning attitude, no matter their age, ethnicity and nationality, my students will be able to achieve good results.
I look forward to imparting my knowledge of the English Language and Social Studies (Secondary) to you!

Commitment

I have taught my sister since young and tutor my classmates.I believe that I can help improve English language and Geography grades as these are my strongest subjects.
Also, I used to be very weak in mathematics.However, over the years I have learnt many techniques to simplify complex mathematics concepts.Thus, I can make learning mathematics simple and fun!

I have 1 year of experience teaching a group of Primary 2s and 1 year of experience teaching a group of Primary 3s. I am a meticulous teacher and am able to adapt my teaching method depending on the student(s), allowing them to maximise their learning experience under my tutelage.
I am committed to the progress of my students and will ensure that I do my utmost to assist them in their learning and understanding of their subjects. It is my stand that every student has the potential to do well, and I believe in allowing my students to be independent, with me guiding them along. As I have familiarized myself with the MOE syllabus, I believe I am able to make a good tutor for my students.

Commitment

I can start tutoring from 6 April 2015 (Monday), and am flexible in terms of days and times of the week, and length and frequency of the lessons.
I am able to commit until at least in September as I have applied for a place in Nanyang Technological University (NTU) to study for my Bachelor of Arts (Education) and Bachelor of Science (Education) and am currently awaiting the results of my application. Assuming I get accepted into the Bachelor programme, I would still be able to tutor students who are open for a discussion regarding a change of tuition timings.
