Experience

To be frank, I am rather new to tutoring, but I had a month of experience of tutoring a primary school student. During my A levels, I booked consultation with my every tutor of mine to clarify doubts with them on a regular basis, hence i think i have a very well understanding of students' perspective in tuition. I also used to peer-tutor my classmates, offering them the explanation taught by tutors in the consultations.
Apart from tutoring the essential concepts of the subjects, I liked to stress the importance of being initiative and cultivating confidence in studies, as they are the vital factors that allow the improvement of studies to perpetuate, making students more independent learners.

Commitment

I am a gap year student who has accepted the offer from NUS, I currently do not have other commitment, so I will prioritize students' tuition.

Experience

I have 14 years experience in teaching and giving tuition, and currently is a school teacher in Nan Hua High School.
I home tutored IB students from UWC and ACS before. And Sec/JC students from many different schools.
I believe every student has the innate ability to excel; only time is required. The role of a tuition teacher is to guide the student along the right path, and shorten the learning curve of the student, thus saving precious time for other subjects.
In guiding my students, I love to point out the critical points, and shorten the time needed to learn the most important part for each topics. This will help my students to focus and to score higher.
From there, questions need to be drill through to let the students know how to apply the basic concepts and be able to handle the questions smoothly during exams.
Questions force the brain to think and analyse, and is one of the most effective way to learning, and excel during exams.

Experience

I have approximately 2 years of tutoring experience before and after my serving my NS. Till date i have taught 3 students, all which have shown gradual improvement in their grades over the months. Personally, there is no fixed method to how i tutor the students; instead i will cater to how they learn best and focus best. I do however prefer to take a guiding approach when tutoring for i believe spoonfeeding answers does not bring about results.

Commitment
